Luciferase assay: This assay measures the activity of an enzyme that adds or removes a chemical group from the 3' end of the DNA strand. The assay utilizes luciferin as a substrate that is oxidized by luciferase in the presence of ATP and produces light that can be detected with a luminometer.

ATP bioluminescence assay: This assay measures the activity of an enzyme that uses ATP as a cofactor. The assay uses a luciferin-luciferase reaction to detect ATP levels, which decrease with increasing enzyme activity.

Firefly luciferase assay: This assay measures the activity of an enzyme that catalyzes the conversion of luciferin to oxyfluorescein. The assay uses firefly luciferase as a reporter gene to produce light in the presence of luciferin and ATP.

Sample requirements

We require a minimum of 1 μg of purified enzyme or cell lysate per assay. We recommend that samples be frozen at -80°C until shipment.
