Tris-MES-SDS (hereinafter referred to as MES) is white to off-white instant granules. Each bag of MES instant granules can produce 1 L of 1× MES buffer, which is easy to operate and easy to use. The main components of MES are Tris, MES, EDTA and SDS. The concentration of Tris in 1× MES buffer is 50 mM, the concentration of MES is 50 mM, the concentration of EDTA is 1 mM, and the content of SDS is 0.1%. MES buffer is a commonly used protein gel electrophoresis buffer in biological experiments. It is suitable for general SDS-PAGE protein electrophoresis, especially for the SDS-PAGE gel of the Bis-Tris system. It is matched with the Bis-Tris protein gel. Suitable for electrophoresis of small to medium molecular weight proteins.

Protocol :

1. Measure about 600 ml of distilled water into the beaker, and place a magnetic stir bar in the beaker.
2. Place the beaker on a magnetic stirrer, slowly add the entire contents of 1 bag of MES instant granules, and stir the solution until it is completely dissolved.
3. Add distilled water to the MES solution in step 2, and dilute to 1 L, which is 1× buffer.
After being formulated into 1× solution, the pH value is 7.0±0.2@25℃.
