Tris-HEPES-SDS (hereinafter referred to as HEPES) is white to almost white instant granules. Each bag of HEPES instant granules can produce 500 ml 1×HEPES buffer, which is easy to operate and easy to use. The main components of HEPES are Tris, HEPES, EDTA and SDS. In 1×HEPES buffer the concentration of Tris is 50 mM, the concentration of HEPES is 50 mM, the concentration of EDTA is 2 mM, and the content of SDS is 0.1%.
HEPES buffer is a commonly used protein gel electrophoresis buffer in biological experiments. It is often used in biochemical diagnostic kits, DNA/RNA extraction kits and PCR diagnostic kits. It has no toxic effect on cells.

Protocol :

1. Measure about 300 ml of distilled water into the beaker, and place a magnetic stir bar in the beaker.
2. Place the beaker on a magnetic stirrer, slowly add the entire contents of 1 bag of Tris-HEPES-SDS instant granules, and stir the solution until it is completely dissolved.
3. Add distilled water to the Tris-HEPES-SDS solution in step 2, and dilute to 500mL, which is 1× buffer
After being formulated into 1× solution, the pH value is 7.7±0.2@25℃.
